Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and clinical areas for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during exams and treatments (four-handed dentistry)
- Take dental radiographs and impressions
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control
- Update patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Administer patient education on oral hygiene
- Order and maintain dental supplies inventory
Qualifications
- Current Michigan Dental Assistant certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays)
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- CPR certification (BLS)
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Experience with practice management software
