Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for dispensing to patients.
- Verify and process prescriptions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels and restock pharmaceutical supplies as needed.
- Assist pharmacists with compounding, sterile product preparation, and quality assurance checks.
- Handle customer inquiries regarding insurance coverage and medication pricing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pharmacy workspace.
Qualifications
- Current California Pharmacy Technician License (or ability to obtain one).
- Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or ExCPT.
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in pharmacy preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medical codes (CPT, ICD-10).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
