Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Assist dentists during procedures (four-handed dentistry)
- Take dental X-rays and digital impressions
- Manage patient records using Dentrix/EagleSoft software
- Administer topical anesthetics and post-op care instructions
- Order inventory and maintain supply chain efficiency
- Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with digital radiography (X-rays)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA sterilization protocols
- Excellent communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- Flexibility for extended hours (early mornings/weekends)
- Valid Maryland dental radiography license
