Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials efficiently
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Manage digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-issued)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in radiography techniques and safety protocols
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Experience with digital imaging and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
