Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort.
- Radiography: Take and develop digital X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and exposure for accurate diagnosis.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, educate them on oral hygiene, and manage their anxiety during treatments.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization protocols and cross-contamination prevention standards.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock dental supplies, ensuring the operatory is always fully equipped.
- Record Keeping: Update and maintain accurate patient records in the practice management software.
- Office Support: Answer phones, schedule appointments, and handle billing inquiries when necessary.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Dental Assistant license (CDA or RDA) or graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) and digital X-ray equipment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow precise instructions and maintain high hygiene standards.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, professional, and able to work well in a fast-paced team setting.
