Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Prepare patients for treatment and provide post-procedure care instructions
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments
- Manage patient records and digital charting using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Order and inventory dental supplies while optimizing practice efficiency
- Train new assistants on clinic protocols and equipment operation
- Coordinate with front desk staff to ensure seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant (RDA) certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital imaging and radiography techniques
- Expertise in infection control and OSHA compliance
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- CPR/BLS certification and willingness to maintain
- Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
