Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Take dental X-rays and impressions accurately
- Manage patient scheduling and recall systems
- Provide chairside support and comfort to anxious patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and digital charts
- Order and inventory dental supplies efficiently
Qualifications
- Active NJ Dental Assistant certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental office
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-ray) systems
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient communication
- Knowledge of infection control protocols
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
