Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain OSHA compliance
- Take and develop digital dental radiographs with precision
- Manage patient charts and update electronic health records accurately
- Administer local anesthetics and monitor patient vital signs
- Coordinate patient scheduling and optimize clinic workflow efficiency
- Train new assistants on clinic protocols and equipment operation
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or expanded functions license (Kentucky)
- 2+ years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR certification and radiology proficiency
- Expertise in digital imaging software (DEXIS, Eaglesoft, etc.)
- Exceptional chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
