Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Provide reminders and assistance with medication schedules as directed.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and recreational activities to reduce loneliness.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments and social outings.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and report changes in health status or mood to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; CNA or PCA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health care or caregiving is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Driver’s License: Reliable transportation is required for client transport.
- Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
