Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and appeals within 30-day SLA
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Reconcile EOBs and patient statements monthly
- Collaborate with clinical teams for coding clarification
- Generate revenue cycle performance reports
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential preferred
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in autonomous work environments
- Flexible availability between 20-30 hours weekly
