Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and blood collection procedures following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Ensure patient comfort and maintain a sterile collection environment
- Operate and maintain phlebotomy equipment
- Document patient information and test results in EMR systems
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA safety standards
- Collaborate with medical staff for patient care coordination
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT)
- 1+ years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques for diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Pass background check and drug screening
