In this role, you will play a critical role in the revenue cycle management process, ensuring accurate claim submissions and maximizing reimbursement for our medical partners.
Responsibilities
- Review patient charts and medical records to ensure accuracy before claim submission.
- Process and submit claims to commercial insurance carriers, Medicare, and Medicaid.
- Perform regular follow-ups on unpaid and denied claims to secure timely reimbursement.
- Manage accounts receivable and handle patient billing inquiries professionally.
- Stay current with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding updates and regulatory changes.
- Collaborate with the collections team to resolve billing discrepancies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Medical Billing or Health Information Technology preferred.
- Certification (CPC, CMA, or RHIT) is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing and claims processing.
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth) and Practice Management software.
- Deep understanding of HIPAA compliance and privacy regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
