Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications to patients and healthcare professionals with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Verify prescription orders for accuracy, checking for drug interactions and proper dosage.
- Assist patients with medication inquiries, providing clear instructions and exceptional customer service.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and monitoring expiration dates.
- Process insurance claims, handle reimbursements, and verify patient insurance coverage.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and patient care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license (RPhT) required.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, dosage forms, and calculations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and computer systems.
