Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort.
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols.
- Accurately label, process, and store specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate anxiety and ensure understanding.
- Manage inventory of blood collection supplies and equipment.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or Certified Phlebotomy Student with graduation date.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high volume.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
