Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to patients including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient conditions, and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding support as needed
- Maintain clean, organized patient environments and adhere to infection control protocols
- Document patient care accurately and confidentially in electronic health records
- Support emotional well-being through companionship and active listening
- Participate in shift handovers and team care conferences
Qualifications
- Active Kentucky CNA certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid CPR certification (or ability to obtain during orientation)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate demeanor with commitment to patient dignity
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation
- Background check and drug screening required
