Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
  • Help patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper lifting techniques to ensure safety.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
  • Document patient care activities, symptoms, and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
  • Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and family members regarding patient status and needs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and staff.
  • Support the nursing team with wound care and other medical procedures as directed.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or currently enrolled in a state-approved CNA training program (for entry-level consideration).
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high degree of empathy and patience.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
