Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the Charge Nurse or RN immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed personnel.
Qualifications
- Current and active Texas CNA license (or enrollment in a CNA program with completion expected).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use electronic health record systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
