Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates, accurately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with patient mobility, including transferring and positioning patients safely in beds or wheelchairs.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR) in a timely manner.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patients' dietary requirements and restrictions.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and family members regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate electronic health records systems.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine, compassionate nature.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
