Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance to patients including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration)
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Document patient observations and care activities in electronic health records
- Support nurses with clinical procedures and maintain clean, organized patient environments
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Current California CNA certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong interpersonal skills with genuine compassion for elderly or vulnerable populations
- Must pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Valid California driver's license preferred but not required
