Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient monitoring
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols for all dental instruments
- Manage patient scheduling and maintain accurate electronic health records
- Take and develop dental X-rays under supervision
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all equipment is properly maintained
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education materials
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior dental experience necessary - training provided
- CPR certification required (will be sponsored if not certified)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical demands
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn dental software
- Washington State Dental Assisting certification exam preparation support
