Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 98% accuracy
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service
- Resolve claim denials and appeals within SLA timelines
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure proper coding documentation
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Certified Medical Biller (CMB) or CPC certification required
- 2+ years medical billing experience with commercial insurance
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
