The Role
We are looking for a reliable team player who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting. As a Medical Assistant, you will be the face of our practice, ensuring our patients feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they arrive.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and accurately register them into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and weight.
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including blood draws and urinalysis.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and manage appointment scheduling efficiently.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Familiarity with basic computer operations and electronic health record software.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist patients with mobility needs.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
