In this role, you will work closely with physicians and nursing staff to ensure the highest quality of care for our diverse patient population in San Francisco.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients, verify demographics, and prepare them for examination.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Assist providers during clinical procedures and minor surgeries.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as directed by the provider.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and sanitized.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- No prior experience required; we provide training for the right candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Basic computer literacy and knowledge of medical terminology.
