Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance providers using industry-standard software
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility before service rendering
- Assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to medical procedures and diagnoses
- Follow up on denied or unpaid claims with insurance companies
- Maintain accurate patient billing records and documentation
- Communicate with healthcare providers regarding claim discrepancies
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and privacy regulations
Qualifications
