Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws with precision and a focus on patient comfort.
- Greet patients warmly, explain procedures, and alleviate anxiety before and during the draw.
- Label, log, and transport blood samples to the laboratory accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and safety protocols at all times.
- Manage inventory of supplies, including ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses and physicians to streamline patient flow.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Willingness to obtain a Phlebotomy certification or complete a training program (we support new hires).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as required.
- Basic computer literacy and attention to detail.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.
