Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all age groups safely and efficiently.
- Interact with patients in a compassionate manner, explaining procedures to reduce anxiety and ensure comfort.
- Accurately label, process, and transport blood samples to the laboratory for testing.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety regulations (OSHA, CLIA).
- Organize patient charts and medical records, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility of all phlebotomy equipment and workstations.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to provide a seamless patient experience.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be willing to undergo a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Excellent manual dexterity and the physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service oriented mindset.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- A valid driver's license is preferred for travel between satellite locations.
