Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care across diverse medical units including telemetry, medical-surgical, and emergency departments
- Administer medications, treatments, and wound care while maintaining accurate documentation in Epic EHR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge planning
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based performance metrics
Qualifications
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BSN degree from an accredited nursing program (ADN candidates with 1+ years experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certifications (or obtained within 90 days of hire)
- Clinical rotations in acute care settings during nursing program
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
