Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality direct patient care by administering medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor and assess patient vitals continuously, documenting any changes immediately to ensure timely clinical interventions.
- Implement patient care plans developed by the interdisciplinary team, adapting care strategies to individual patient needs.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions to promote recovery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with the nursing team and medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and optimal clinical outcomes.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred). Must be eligible for licensure in Texas.
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required at time of hire.
