Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment before procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments in operating rooms and surgical suites
- Document surgical supplies and equipment inventory accurately
- Transport patients to and from surgical areas safely
- Follow strict infection control protocols at all times
- Collaborate effectively with surgical teams and nursing staff
Qualifications
- No prior surgical technology experience required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and precision in tasks
