Responsibilities
- Conduct initial patient assessments via phone and in-person to determine medical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient care based on acuity levels
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding home care or emergency protocols
- Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all communications
- Participate in continuous education and skill development programs
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (or willingness to obtain within 60 days)
- Graduation from accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergency situations
- Strong computer literacy for EHR systems
