Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Meal Assistance: Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with feeding if necessary, adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Medication Management: Provide medication reminders and ensure clients take their prescribed medications on time.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for the client.
- Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, hobbies, and social activities to reduce isolation.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping trips, or social events.
- Observation: Monitor the client's physical and emotional condition and report any changes to the supervising nurse or family.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Experience: Prior experience as a CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide is preferred but not always required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and move clients safely (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks.
- Patience: Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
