Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories via phone/video triage using evidence-based protocols
- Provide accurate medical advice and determine appropriate care level (ER, urgent care, or home care)
- Document patient encounters in EHR systems with precision and attention to detail
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop effective treatment plans
- Manage high-volume call queues while maintaining empathy and professionalism
- Follow HIPAA compliance protocols for all patient interactions and data handling
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona (AZ RN)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in ER, urgent care, or telehealth
- BLS/ACLS certification required
- Strong assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on rotating schedule
