Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough initial patient assessments to determine the urgency of medical needs.
- Utilize the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to document patient interactions accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate patient findings and care plans effectively to physicians and nursing staff.
- Manage patient flow to minimize wait times and maximize clinic efficiency.
- Educate patients on preventative care and follow-up instructions.
- Remain calm and composed under pressure during peak hours and medical emergencies.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NYS).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting or triage environment.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency with computer systems and medical software.
