Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Prepare and sterilize instruments while maintaining OSHA compliance standards
- Manage patient records using digital charting systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Take accurate dental radiographs and perform preliminary examinations
- Deliver patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene protocols
- Coordinate treatment schedules and inventory management for dental supplies
- Ensure operatory sanitation protocols exceed industry standards
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or Indiana state license)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography (X-rays) and dental imaging software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Exceptional chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume practice
