Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures, ensuring optimal sterility and equipment readiness
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and implant placements
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) and digital impressions
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and recall systems for seamless practice operations
- Implement OSHA protocols and infection control procedures with precision
- Provide chairside assistance and patient education on oral hygiene
- Maintain digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Experience with practice management software (Dentrix preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to continuous education in dental advancements
