Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Manage patient scheduling and digital charting using Dentrix software
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA-compliant operatory protocols
- Take accurate dental radiographs and perform preliminary assessments
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for efficient clinical workflows
- Provide patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
- Coordinate inventory management for dental supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant certification or DANB registration
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental imaging software
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Excellent chairside communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Experience with digital impression systems preferred
