Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and maintain sterilized instruments and treatment areas following OSHA protocols
- Take accurate dental impressions and process digital radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and insurance verification
- Implement infection control protocols and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DA license)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- CPR certification and radiography license
- Exceptional chairside manner and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dental materials and equipment sterilization
