Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery and restorative treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage patient flow, including chairside assistance and instrument sterilization
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling, billing, and digital charting
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain strict OSHA compliance and infection control protocols
- Train new team members on practice-specific workflows
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental imaging software (e.g., Dexis, Eaglesoft)
- CPR/BLS certification with current status
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- North Carolina dental radiography license
