Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms for procedures, ensuring sterility and optimal workflow
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical cases
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs using digital imaging systems
- Manage inventory and ordering of dental supplies while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education on oral hygiene
- Coordinate patient scheduling and maintain electronic health records
- Assist in infection control protocols and OSHA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Current RDA certification or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a general/specialty practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software (e.g., Eaglesoft)
- Strong knowledge of dental materials and four-handed dentistry techniques
- CPR/BLS certification from accredited institution
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage anxious patients
- High attention to detail and commitment to infection control protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
