Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery and restorative treatments
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suctioning, and four-handed dentistry
- Manage digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral imaging systems
- Sterilize equipment and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control protocols
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour study models
- Manage patient scheduling and digital chart documentation
- Train new dental assistants on clinic workflows
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant Certification (RDA or EFDA preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- DEXIS/RadioVisioGraphy (RVG) imaging experience
- Exceptional chairside communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple procedures simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and infection control expertise
