Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures using infection control protocols
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical cases
- Take accurate dental radiographs and develop X-ray films
- Manage inventory ordering and sterilization of instruments per OSHA standards
- Document patient charts using digital practice management software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Provide chairside support during procedures including suctioning and instrument transfer
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Dental Assistant certification (CDA) or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance
