Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures, including instrument handling and suction control
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and patient comfort
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory levels
- Manage patient scheduling and provide post-procedure care instructions
- Perform lab tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Document patient records accurately in our digital practice management system
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or RDA license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a general dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft preferred)
- Excellent chairside manner and ability to manage anxious patients
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- CPR certification and BLS training
- High school diploma or equivalent; CDA or RDA preferred
