Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic treatments
- Perform chairside duties such as instrument transfer, suction management, and patient comfort
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain infection control standards
- Capture and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour models for prosthetics
- Manage patient scheduling and digital charting (Dentrix/EagleSoft)
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for optimal efficiency
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification in New York State
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control protocols
- Strong knowledge of dental materials and equipment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with digital dental imaging systems preferred
