Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions per physician orders
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
- Process insurance claims and third-party reimbursements
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical interventions
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell) for dispensing operations
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- CPhT certification from PTCB or ExCPT
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and regulations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy management systems
- Must pass background check and drug screening
