Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and urgency via phone triage using clinical judgment protocols
- Coordinate with physicians and care teams to prioritize patient cases
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding care pathways
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for seamless care transitions
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina
- 3+ years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation abilities
