Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during treatments, including instrument handling and suction
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Maintain sterilization protocols and inventory of dental supplies
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Manage digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Indiana Dental Assistant certification or DANB eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of chairside dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in radiography techniques and infection control
- Strong communication skills and compassionate patient approach
- Ability to work flexible hours (including some evenings/weekends)
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and dental office protocols
- CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain)
