Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental X-rays with digital imaging systems
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain OSHA compliance
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft/DEXIS software
- Take impressions and pour models for prosthetics
- Administer topical anesthetics and fluoride treatments
- Provide post-op instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Current RDA/X-ray license in California
- 2+ years clinical dental assisting experience
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Proficiency with dental charting software (Eaglesoft/Dentrix)
- Excellent chairside manner and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends (10-20 hrs/week)
- Strong attention to detail and infection control protocols
