Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care assistance including meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients while respecting their dignity and preferences
- Assist with mobility transfers, bathing, and personal hygiene tasks
- Monitor client health status and report changes to care coordinators
- Transport clients to appointments and social activities as needed
- Maintain accurate care documentation and communication logs
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience or relevant certification
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with clients
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
