Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and patient comfort
- Manage patient flow, ensuring efficient scheduling and seamless appointment transitions
- Provide chairside support during procedures, including suctioning and instrument transfer
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and treatment documentation
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DA license)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR/BLS certification and familiarity with OSHA regulations
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to put patients at ease
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced settings
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
