As a Surgical Technician, you play a critical role in ensuring patient safety and surgical success. We are looking for a professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and upholds the highest standards of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, equipment, and sutures before surgery.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Monitor and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure nothing is left in the patient.
- Handle and prepare tissue samples for pathology.
- Ensure patient safety by following aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team and nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent critical thinking skills.
- Valid California RN or Surgical Tech license.
